When the classic 1963 Buick Riviera was introduced, it was an original
without peer. Headlights hidden behind clamshell grilles arrived for 1965,
as did a Gran Sport option that is highly sought after among collectors
today.
The sleek second generation Rivieras set a new standard for performance,
and were a stylist's dream design with smooth, fluid lines and contours
that screamed "look at me!" The unique "boat tail" cars
of the early seventies were stunning, but you either loved them or hated
them. This design is growing in popularity now, as it truly represents
one of Buick's most daring looks.
A smaller Riviera greeted customers in 1977, and another new design for
1979 would continue through 1985, representing perhaps the most successful
sales period for Riviera.
The last Riviera off the line in 1999 was as much an original as the first
one off the line in 1963. No matter which vintage you're searching for,
you're likely to find it listed right here.
