Paint codes designated above and in the list on the left with a * symbol denote colors exclusive to the Toronado. However, there are documented examples of other Oldsmobile models painted in these shades at the factory. This was likely done on special order.

Of the 20 shades available for the 1968 Toronado, 14 were metallics, and 4 of them were supposed to have been exclusive Toronado colors, but as noted above have been observed on other Oldsmobile models. 6 different accent stripe colors were offered, along with 6 vinyl roof shades, providing enough color combinations to suit anyone's imagination.
